About the Role
The Global HR Operations Manager is a critical role within the Global HR Operations team. This person serves as a link between Business Partner, employees, and key stakeholders to improve processes, programs and recognizing talent. Through various employee programs, policies and initiatives, the HR Operations Manager supports the need to align the people strategy with the overall business strategy. The individual has the ability to make a difference and get things done as a direct result of the strength of their relationships. Their focus is on delivering positive employee outcomes.
Your Responsibilities
- Partners with the HRBP across all lines of business on employee-related matters, benefits, compensation, compliance, and other employee initiatives.
- Collaborates with Organizational Development team to create and launch employee-focused programs.
- Assist to Develops and manages employee policies and guidelines in collaboration with HRBP and HR Leadership Team.
- Liaises with Compensation and Benefits Manager on employee issues, as well as benefit plan design, job and comp alignment, open enrollment, and other country-specific needs.
- Assist the HRBP in coordinating and conducting 6-week reviews with new hires.
- Assist HRBP to Liaise closely with other Country Directors/Leads to support globally aligned HR initiatives.
- Creates & provides data/metrics for on (off) boarding, HR programs, internal/external country trends.
- Deals with local Employee Relations and support HR Leadership to liaises with country lawyers when necessary. Establishing credibility throughout the organization with management and the employees in order to be an effective listener and problem solver of Employee Relations (this more accurately describes the above bullet and our philosophy)
- Collaborates closely and provides data when required with the Finance teams.
- Closely partners with HRBP, Talent Acquisition and IT to provide smooth onboarding/First 90 days for new hires.
- Manages internal HR marketing campaigns.
- Provides support on employee relations issues & Immigration.
- Ensure the wellbeing of all individuals are valued across the organization through confronting issues and challenging assumptions
- Applies corporate policies and programs that align with the business strategy while ensuring the organization adheres to applicable country/global laws and regulations.
- Has a clear focus on delivering employee programs through harnessing the whole HR functional capabilities and being a strong role model for the team.
- Payroll processing including compilation of payroll data, problem resolution concerning payroll, answering inquiries and maintenance of payroll records in collaboration with our payroll vendor if applicable.
- Performing benefit administration to include enrollment, adjustments, COBRA notices if applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Complete mandatory training for this role within specified timelines
- Attend mandatory training sessions required for this role
- Identify resources and training to support learning and development within this role
- Comply with all applicable regulations, guidelines, SOPs and project-specific requirements
- Comply with all designated systems relevant to this role
- Ensure own quality control of all relevant processes and activities performed
- Report and escalate identified risks and issues in areas of responsibility according to Emerald Clinical and/or project requirements
Customer Focus and Teamwork
- Attend and actively participate in Emerald Clinical meetings and other internal meetings and activities as required
- Provide input to systems, tools and processes to support continuous improvement
- Share knowledge with others, to facilitate learning and development across the organisation
Work Health and Safety
- Comply with Work Health & Safety (WH&S) legislation and operate in accordance with established organisational WH&S practice and procedures
- Promote and contribute to a safe, secure environment for staff and visitors
About You
- Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent or equivalent experience gained in the HR field; PHR/internationally recognized HR qualification/ certification preferred
- 5+ years Humans Resources experience with 1+ year managing an HR team or department preferred.
- Strong knowledge of most functional areas of HR, country and/or state employment guidelines.
- Has supported change management initiatives and/or workforce planning.
- Experience working in CRO or Pharma sector where people are your asset.
- Experience in supporting large scale growth helpful.
- Utilises internal & external employee data and market trends to inform and provide direction to leadership.
- Ability to adapt and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Strong relationship-building, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong commitment to the business and ability to align a people strategy to the business strategy.
- Ability to quickly obtain knowledge of the industry and its trends and how best to innovate within.
- Abie to handle sensitive and delicate situations at a high level & maintain confidentiality.
- Able to initiate, drive, coordinate and execute on large, complex projects.
- Team player able to contribute valuable input to the HR Executive leadership team.
- Establish a reputable, credible, and valuable HR function for Emerald Clinical.
- Natural ability to problem-solve and relate to different types of people in order simplify approaches to generate an effective organization.
